Frequently asked questions

Everything about Caesar, Cleo, Lorica and how we work, in short.

What is Caesar Solutions?

Caesar Solutions (Caesar-Solutions GmbH) is a German software company based in Spaichingen, Baden-Württemberg. We build manufacturing software for mid-sized manufacturers with native SAP Business One integration. The ecosystem includes Caesar (control system), Cleo (voice AI), Lorica (industrial tablet) and Brutus (sensors).

What is Caesar and what is an MES?

Caesar is a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), production software that runs manufacturing orders, captures shop-floor data in real time and makes the workshop visible. Caesar covers order control, real-time shop-floor data capture, batch postings, order tracking and quality control, cloud-based in the browser.

How does Caesar integrate with SAP Business One?

Caesar does not touch the SAP database directly. It talks to SAP Business One through the official SAP Service Layer (REST/OData). Orders, BoMs, stock and bookings stay in SAP B1; Caesar adds the shop-floor view. Authenticated, transactional and in real time, with no extra middleware and without breaking SAP guarantees.

What is Cleo?

Cleo is a voice AI for production. It answers questions from the shop floor by voice, turns emails into orders, steers orders by voice and delivers analytics on demand. Instead of clicking, you talk to your software.

What is Lorica?

Lorica is a rugged industrial tablet that carries Caesar right to the machine. With IP 65 protection, MIL-STD drop resistance, around 12 hours of battery, an integrated stylus holder, a calliper mount and a tool-less bayonet lock. Built for the shop floor, not the office.

What is Brutus?

Brutus is the IoT sensor layer in the Caesar ecosystem that keeps an eye on machines and processes. Brutus is currently in development.

Who is Caesar for?

Caesar is built for small and mid-sized manufacturers (SMEs) that use or are adopting SAP Business One and want to digitise their shop floor. Our reference customer Efinger-Instruments tests Caesar every day in real shift operation.

Where is my data stored?

The website is served via Vercel. The customer portal uses Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage) and our own backend, operated in the EU region europe-west1. We use only strictly necessary cookies; analytics and external embeds are loaded only after consent. See the privacy policy for details.

What does Caesar cost?

Pricing depends on scope, number of users and the modules you need. The best way to find out is a free, personal demo on a real shop-floor case. Just book a slot on our demo page.

How is Caesar rolled out?

Caesar is a central web application that runs in the browser, one login, any browser, anywhere. The native SAP B1 connection via the Service Layer keeps the effort low. In the demo we show the concrete process for your use case.

Is Caesar a German company?

Yes. Caesar-Solutions GmbH is based in Spaichingen, Baden-Württemberg, and was founded in March 2023 by Levin Efinger. Our strategic partner for SAP Business One is Versino AG.

How do I get a demo?

You can book a 30-minute slot on our demo page. We show Caesar live from our reference plant, no slides and no script. Alternatively, reach us at info@caesar-solutions.de.
